What does it take to remove the iPod Touch screen and what does it cost?
To replace the iPod Touch 4th generation cracked screen we have to use a heat gun set to 400 degrees. The heat is used soften up the adhesive that holds on the glass. Once the adhesive is softened we then use a very thin tool called an iopener that is specifically designed to slide in between the glass and the housing of the iPod Touch. Once we remove the screen assembly we are then able to proceed to remove the screws that are holding on the midframe plate. We have to be careful when removing the midframe plate not to rip the 2 wires running to the loud speaker at the bottom or the power flex cable.
